Comedy Night at Mex 1 Sullivan’s

Mex 1 Coastal Cantina on Sullivan’s Island is having its first comedy night on Tuesday, December 8th at 7pm. Come laugh it up with a hilarious group of local Charleston comedians guaranteed to make you chuckle.

Our Emcee for the evening is Austin Hughes, a celebrated local comedian known for taking us back to our awkward teenage years. We will also have some hilarious stories from some other lowcountry locals like Doug Allen, Alex Baldauf, Caleb McGraw and Dan Sweeney. Drop in for a night of guaranteed laughs, awkwards stories and some of the best Tacos and Tequila in town.

Doug Allen blends the aesthetics of homelessness and the self pity of living at his parents into a comedy set rife with stories that involve the two and explain how he is in his current situation.

Alex’s Baldauf absurdist musings toe the line between reality and insanity. He enjoys spending his free time posting memes, petting his dog, all while containing his inner insanity.

Caleb McCraw brings to the stage his southern sensibilities and unique prospective. That’s been carved through years of Myrtle Beach vacations and flea market shopping sprees.

Dan sweeney was born on earth from two parents. He is the host of the Lowcountry’s worst podcast “The San Dweeney Show.” His greatness in comedy has been described as being on par with 2020s greatness as a year.
